Kids Juneteenth WordPlay (creative writing)

Juneteenth is the annual holiday celebrating the official end of slavery in the United States. Though Abraham Lincoln delivered the Emancipation Proclamation in 1863, it wasn't until after the Civil War was over that the proclamation would be observed by Southern states. On June 19th, 1865, Union soldiers arrived in Galveston, Texas to enforce the emancipation of all remaining enslaved populations.

For this mission, think about a cause that is important to you. Now, picture an idyllic future where your cause has been achieved or positively resolved. Write a letter to your current self from your future self describing this ideal future and what a typical day in your life consists of.
